WCIG 2020 Annual Report Released

Westgate Community Initiative Group Ltd (WCIG) have released their 2020 Annual Report with some positive news for the last Financial Year even though the last quarter was affected by the new Covid landscape.

The WCIG Social Enterprise Group, of which Cleanable is a part, reported growth, job creation, new contracts and the retaining of key relationships which in turn lead to renewed and expanded work.

Social Enterprise Group Manager, Peter Collins, said

“These results are a testament to the hard work by the whole social enterprise team who had to overcome many new and challenging obstacles in the last 6 months. The reputation and customer service of Cleanable staff have really shown how valuable it is to offer a commercially viable product whilst creating work for people in our community facing barriers to employment.”

Some highlights from this report included:

• 9.4% growth in revenue

• a make-up of 62% of the Cleanable team members being those who face finding a job and keeping a job

• these team members completing 10,318 hours of paid employment

• 4 new large contracts with Casey Hospital (BGIS), Hume City Council, Western Program Alliance and John Holland Group.
