Our Partnership with The Idea Collective
We spoke with our new client based out in Footscray about their experience working with our Cleanable team.
The Idea Collective have been providing co-working spaces to the community of Footscray and surrounding suburbs since 2013. They’ve been committed to establishing a place where like-minded people can come together, collaborate, share ideas and experiences with one another.
Their Community Facilitator, Liana Lucca-Pope, sat down for a chat with us to talk about why they chose Cleanable as their preferred social enterprise cleaning and maintenance service.
Why did your organisation choose to contract a social enterprise like Cleanable?
I wanted to use a locally based company and preferably one with good ethical standards. I didn’t actually know Cleanable existed until I started researching, came across your website and was attracted to the fact that it IS a social enterprise with a broad and practical reach.
What was the experience like working with Cleanable?
Charlie came and took the original brief and he was lovely and made me feel comfortable about engaging Cleanable’s services. He emphasised that the cleaning staff would be well supported and he proved to be easy to contact and talk to when I had questions. Our cleaner Celeste was lovely and very diligent in her work and processes.
What would you say to someone who is looking to work with Cleanable for their organisation?
I definitely recommend working with Cleanable. I found the service great – reliable and efficient. And when you know you’re also supporting an organisation which helps people who typically face employment barriers, it makes you makes you feel even better! It was important to me that the staff are paid fairly and supported in their work. And Cleanable’s certification as Social Traders gave me this confidence. I’ve used cleaning agencies before and generally didn’t like them because the staff turnover was high and replacement staff received little to no guidance on my needs - so I had to start from scratch each time. They often didn’t seem to care about the work. That has not been my experience with Cleanable.
